Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is a national law firm that serves as legal counsel to the REMS Industry Consortium. Buchanan advises on FDA Regulatory, Antitrust, Corporate, Governance and other issues, as well as strategy in advancing the RIC mission.

Barbara Binzak Blumenfeld, Shareholder and Co-Leader of the FDA & Biotechnology Section at Buchanan, leads Buchanan’s RIC team.  Dr. Binzak Blumenfeld helps clients develop and execute on strategic decisions about FDA-regulated products arising before, during, and after product approval and marketing.  She works across product areas, with a particular focus on drugs, medical devices, biologics, and combination products.  Barbara leverages her unique background, integrating science and biomedical ethics into her legal practice to formulate a regulatory strategy that is individualized to each client.  She works closely with Buchanan’s other practices as well, bringing the right people with the right experience to each project.

Jason R. Parish, Shareholder, co-leads Buchanan’s Life Sciences team and serves as lead Antitrust counsel to the RIC Board of Directors. Mr. Parish is a trial lawyer who manages complex litigation involving pharmaceutical and healthcare entities. He has extensive experience in high-stakes, "bet the company" matters involving DOJ, FTC, HHS, OIG, CMS and other government investigations.

Richard DiStefano, Shareholder, leads the RIC efforts in corporate formation and governance.  Mr. DiStefano has extensive experience representing pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies with a focus on corporate finance, M&A, capital markets and general corporate representation as well as commercial transactions, compliance and other matters.
